About Suede Studio Music.
Suede Studio Music is a membership for producers and artists: an inspiration and remix workspace that turns a brief into a track, splits your tracks into stems, and leaves you holding the master. Members also get free live seminars on sync licensing and monetization, and standalone Distro handles release when a track is ready.
Start from a brief
A new track starts in Suede Create with a creative brief of up to 400 characters. Write it like a producer note: tempo, texture, and what the track is for. A checklist beside the brief shows what it already covers.
- Lyrics mode. Turn it on when you already know the words and paste up to 1,000 characters of lyrics. Leave it off for open melodic and instrumental exploration.
- Quick launchers. Five starting briefs (Neon Teaser, Lo-fi Loop, Club Hook, Airy Score and Dark Bounce) give you a direction to rework.
- Your own recordings. Upload a song you made, then extend it or create a cover of it in Create.
A render uses 50 credits, and the Artist plan’s monthly credits cover about 50 tracks.
When the track lands
Studio saves each finished render to your library as private and suggests a title from your brief. From the same panel you can generate cover art, publish the track on your profile, copy a share link, and open its creation receipt: portable, tamper-evident proof of creator identity, AI provenance and master ownership that anyone can verify.
Stems from your Studio tracks
Split any track you made in Studio, right after the render or later from your library, into a two-track vocal and instrumental pair or a four-track set of vocals, drums, bass and other. Each stem downloads as its own MP3, ready for your DAW. Either split costs 100 credits, two renders’ worth, from the same balance as your renders. How stem splitting works covers both splits, what they cost, and where to start one.
Rights and ownership
Each track’s master belongs to the artist who made it: 100% commercial rights, your master, no revenue split, and no clawback. Ownership is the same on every tier, and nothing you publish needs to credit Suede. Who owns the master when AI generates your music? explains how that compares across AI music platforms in 2026.
Plans
- Artist, $29/mo: about 50 tracks a month, full ownership of your masters, and the live classes.
- Pro, $49/mo: everything in Artist with a higher monthly quota.
- Label, $99/mo: a multi-artist roster and the highest quota.
You are not charged per track; generation comes out of the included monthly quota. Compare the tiers on the Studio homepage.
Release and register
Studio creates the work; Distro releases it. Suede AI Distro is a separate $7.99/mo subscription for independent artists, with release planning and delivery through supported partners, and it takes no share of your royalties. To give a finished work a public record, the Suede AI IP Registry is the ID and trust layer for music: one verifiable public ID per work, with a wallet-signed creator claim, contributors, timestamp, and derivative links on Base and Avalanche.
Who runs it
Suede Studio Music is part of Suede AI, founded and run in public by Jason Colapietro (pen name Johnny Suede). Read the founder page or learn about Suede AI.
